Austin Hammond was elected as the 29th Mayor of the City of Menasha in April 2024. Becoming Menasha’s youngest Mayor ever elected. Prior to becoming Mayor, he served on the City of Menasha Common Council representing District 4 (2022-2024). His other legislative experience stems from serving his tribe on the Brothertown Indian Nation Tribal Council (2019-2024). 

Austin Hammond received his Associate of Science in Digital Media Technology from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, a Certificate in Irish Business & Culture from Waterford Institute of Technology (Waterford, Ireland), Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and he is finishing up his Master of Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. 

His prior volunteer and work experience include being a Development Director for a local nonprofit, Outreach Coordinator for the Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity, and an appointed representative on the Governor’s Task Force on Student Debt.
