The City of Menasha Human Resources Department is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources. This includes payroll, hiring, labor negotiations, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Deferred Compensation, health, dental, life, and vision insurance, retirement accounting, training, unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation and support for Department Heads. A specific listing of the duties is contained in Sec. 2-3-7 of the Menasha Code of Ordinances.

The City does not solicit resumes nor retain unsolicited resumes. The Police Department compiles an eligibility list for vacancies.  Applications for the Fire Department go through the City of Neenah as it is joint fire department. Questions regarding these eligibility lists can be directed to those departments. Their websites are linked to this one. Advertisements of City of Menasha vacancies appear on our website. The City is an affirmative action employer. Minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.

The City has one labor union. The Police Department is represented as Local 603.  The City of Menasha Fire Department consolidated with the City of Neenah Fire Department in 2003 and created a joint Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue Department. The firefighters are City of Neenah employees and represented as Local 275 I.A.F.F.
