About the Finance Department & Assessor's Office Our Finance Department provides for the financial activities of the City including: real and personal property assessment by the City Assessor's Office; management of data and report generation by Information Systems; collection and investment of funds received from fees and taxes by the City Treasurer; billing of special assessments and other miscellaneous charges by Accounts Receivable; payment for services and material by Accounts Payable and accounting, debt management, budget preparation, internal control and financial reporting by the City Comptroller.
Real Estate taxes can be paid in full on or before January 31st or in four equal installments on or before January 31st, March 31st, May 31st and July 31st. Any special assessments or special charges must be paid in full with the first installment payment. Personal Property taxes must be paid in full on or before January 31st.
Plan 1: Payment in full on or before January 31 of the current year Plan 2: Payment in four (4) installments paid on or before January 31, March 31, May 31, and July 31 of the current year.

Failure to Pay on Time: Interest on late payments is 1% per month retroactive to February 1 on the TOTAL amount of your remaining unpaid taxes.

Statement of Personal Property
Unless you are a state-assessed Manufacturer, every person, firm or corporation operating a business within the City of Menasha must file a Statement of Personal Property (Form PA-003) with the City Assessor's Office each year on or before March 1st.
The City Assessor's Office sends a Statement of Personal Property form to each business owner that has an established account from the preceding year. These Statements are typically mailed during the last week of December or first week of January each year.
New business owners who do not have an existing account should contact the City Assessor's Office to establish a new account or simply submit a Statement of Personal Property on their own by the March 1st deadline.
Businesses that do not file a Statement of Personal Property with the City of Menasha Assessor's Office will be given a Doomage Assessment and can be denied any right of appeal by the Board of Review.
