 POLICE OFFICER

Salary:  $28.39 - $40.72 per hour

Work Schedule: This position works a rotating 5-3, 5-3, 5-2 work schedule including holidays that fall within the rotation. Officers work day, evening, and night shifts. Shift picks are made each year based on seniority.

Qualifications: U.S. Citizen; Minimum age – 21; Driver License; Good driving record; Good physical condition; Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification; at least 60 college credits; Ability to possess a firearm; No felony convictions; No domestic abuse convictions; Vision correctable to 20/20; Good verbal and written communication skills; React quickly and effectively to stressful situations; Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; Clear and concise speech; Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously; Ability to perform essential functions of this position; Ability to use all standard Law Enforcement equipment
Bilingual - Hmong or Spanish preferred.

Selection Process Includes:  Written exam; Oral interviews; Psychological profile; Medical examination; Vision examinations; Drug screening; Background investigation; Physical fitness/agility screening.  There is a residency requirement within 20 miles of City limits required upon the completion of the 18-month probationary period.
