Information For Teachers

images_000Teachers can help the city reach a younger audience by educating their students. By incorporating storm water education into lesson plans, teachers can help bring awareness to the problem and help reduce stormwater pollution.

There are different activities to do with your class, along with mini lessons to present and tips on how kids can help.
NEWSC Kids Can Help Too!

Check out our links for kids under our Resident Action Page!

The City of Menasha is a member of the Northeast Wisconsin Stormwater Consortium, or NEWSC. One of the perks is teachers can have a member of NEWSC come do a presentation about stormwater for no charge! The presentations can be catered for all age groups and range from half an hour to an hour and a half, depending on how much time you wish to allot.

If you are interested in additional information, learning more about what how you can educate your students or having a presentation in your classroom, please contact Jessica Schultz from NEWSC or the City of Menasha Community Development Department. Jessica can be reached at (920) 858-4246 or newsc@newsc.org.  The City of Menasha Community Development Department can be reached at (920) 967-3650.
