According to the March of Dimes, about 1 in 7 women experience postpartum depression (PPD). PPD consists of strong feelings of tiredness, sadness, and anxiety. This depression can develop during pregnancy or within the first year after giving birth. Support is available if you or someone you know is experiencing PPD.
National Maternal Mental Health Hotline: This hotline is free and confidential, and is operated 24/7 in English, Spanish, and 60 other languages. It provides support before, during, and after pregnancy. Pregnant and new moms who are struggling emotionally can call or text 1-800-852-6262 for help.

By properly disposing unused and expired drugs, we can help prevent medication misuse. The police department lobby also has a sharps container disposal.
With the increase in the use of opioids in the state, it is possible used syringes may be found in public spaces, like community parks and playgrounds. Never pick up a used needle you find on the ground. It is possible it may have residue of a drug, blood borne pathogen, or other harmful bacteria.
